About me

dsc01129

I’m Fátima, and if I had to explain what I do, I’d start by sharing what keeps me grounded.

It all began far from Galicia — in Miami, in 2020 — when I first sat at the pottery wheel.
The world was upside down, and so was I.
And I found, quite unexpectedly, that sinking my hands into clay gave me something I didn’t know I needed: stillness. Honesty. Calm.

Since then, I’ve kept exploring — testing clays, shapes, and mistakes. I’ve learned that ceramics isn’t just about making things — it’s about letting go. It’s about waiting. Trusting. Allowing something to take shape without forcing it.

Sometimes I think I didn’t choose the wheel. The wheel chose me.

My studio is in Sabarís, in southern Galicia, surrounded by sea, green hills, my children Lena and Leo, our dog Rass, and Xokas, who’s been by my side since long before this was a business.

Each collection carries the name — or the soul — of a Galician mountain or beach. Because I don’t create without looking closely. With open eyes, and an open heart.
Galicia isn’t just where I live. It’s my muse.
And I like to think that with each piece, I discover new ways of seeing her — ways even she doesn’t expect.
Sometimes as coast. Sometimes as rain that doesn’t soak but seeps into the soul. Sometimes as silence — the kind only broken by the sound of a cup meeting the table.

Lucky’s Bakes started years ago, selling muffins at university.
The name stayed. Everything else evolved.
But one thing has never changed: the intention.
To create something with my hands that gives warmth. That holds space.

I’m not chasing perfection. I want each piece to say something — without speaking.
To wait for you. To be with you.

What is Lucky’s Bakes?

Lucky’s Bakes is a handcrafted ceramics project born in Galicia, where tradition and contemporary design come together in pieces made by hand, using techniques that honor time, material, and gesture.

Among my collaborations are Michelin-starred restaurants, chefs who work from a sensory approach, and gastronomic projects that understand the table as a stage. I also create custom pieces for individuals who wish to bring unique works into their homes.

Functional, durable ceramics with identity. Made to last.

Our values

At Lucky’s Bakes, clay becomes memory — shaped by values that give meaning to every creation.

Nature

Everything here is rooted. The southern coast of Galicia isn’t just inspiration — it’s the raw material itself. In the textures. The tones. The rhythm.

Durability

Nothing fleeting. Every piece is made to endure — to be used, touched, and kept for years to come.

Sustainability

To create without harming. We believe in thoughtful processes and responsible materials. Because beauty should also be ethical.

Creativity

Clay is my language. Each piece is a new possibility — a way to think with my hands. And a space for you to find your own expression..

Presence

My studio isn’t just a workspace. it’s a place to breathe differently. Slower. Ceramics, as a way to care for the mind.

Attention and detail

Not perfection — but presence. Each piece is made as if it were the only one. Because when something is made with care, you can feel it.
